COLLEGE INTRODUCTION

In July 2019, China University of Petroleum (East China) formally established the School of New Energy by integrating power engineering and engineering thermophysics, electrical engineering, new energy science and engineering and other discipline resources. The college is committed to expanding the disciplines of hydrogen energy, geothermal energy, solar energy, and efficient storage, conversion and utilization of new energy, and building a high-end talent training and technological innovation base in the new energy field.

The college has 5 teaching departments including chemical equipment and control engineering, energy and power engineering, electrical engineering, energy storage science and engineering, new energy science and engineering, and 1 experimental teaching center.

The college has more than 120 faculty members, including 20 professors, 47 associate professors, 15 doctoral supervisors and 56 master supervisors.

The college has 6 undergraduate majors including process equipment and control engineering, energy and power engineering, electrical engineering, environmental protection equipment engineering, new energy science and engineering, and energy storage science and engineering.

The college currently has 584 doctoral and master students and 1,832 undergraduates.

Since the establishment of the college, the college has undertaken a total of 324 scientific research projects, including 1 national key research and development plan project, 4 national natural science foundation key projects, 34 other national natural science foundation projects, and 24 other provincial and ministerial funds. He has won 10 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards and published more than 500 scientific research papers. More than 160 authorized patents, one of which won the 22nd China Patent Excellence Award. A number of research results have achieved industrial transformation, and the college's social service capabilities have been significantly improved. The college has held 8 international academic conferences, and more than 50 well-known experts from home and abroad attended the conference; 4 high-end foreign expert introduction plans and 2 international cooperation funds were approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 20 students were selected to study abroad or study for a degree .
